How affiliate links work

When you click certain links to a hotel, tour, product or service and go on to book or buy, the partner pays us a small commission for sending you their way. The price you pay is always exactly the same as it would be otherwise — the commission comes out of the partner's margin, never as an extra charge to you. It's simply what keeps Travel Journal free to read.

How to spot an affiliate link

Affiliate links usually look like ordinary links or buttons — for example a “View on Amazon” or “Book this tour” button next to something we recommend. You're never under any obligation to use them: you can always search for the same product or service directly if you prefer.
